Terra Mar project is an international, multidimensional exhibition that invites the public to immerse themselves in the richness of marine ecosystems, from mangroves to the depths of the abyss. Developed from research conducted by the international joint laboratory TAPIOCA is a French-Brazilian collaboration dedicated to the study of the Tropical Atlantic—the initiative combines scientific rigor and artistic expression to celebrate and promote the importance of the oceans.
The exhibition does not merely display biodiversity; it contextualizes the vital role of these ecosystems, such as climate regulation and their function as nurseries for countless species. With stages already inaugurated in Montpellier, France, and an upcoming opening in Recife, Brazil, in October 2025, Terra Mar transcends physical boundaries through its virtual exhibition. Through an immersive digital environment, people from anywhere in the world can explore the interactive panels, and narratives about marine life, bringing ocean science and culture closer to a global audience.
